A New Economy In Hawaii - 2005 Indicators and Recommendations
The report by the Hawaii Institute of Public Affairs is an update on the new economy indicators put forward by the Institute in 2003. The indicators measure not only growth in high-tech industries, but also the overall adaption to global economic realities. The update includes new data points addressing economic diversification, that availability of living wage jobs, and environmental well-being. The second half of the report presents a series of recommendations for the state with examples of tactics used across the country.
