South Carolina Competitiveness Initiative

The initiative suggests a vision of South Carolina where the state becomes a premiere region in the U.S. for advanced processing. To implement the suggested campaigns, Porter recommends that South Carolina create an organizational structure consisting of a central leadership group-made-up of leaders from business, government, and academia-surrounded by working groups each responsible for one of the campaigns.
