States Allocations of Fiscal Years 2002 and 2003 Master Settlement Agreement Payments
The report from the General Accounting Office indicates that 46 states received about $6.2 billion from tobacco companies during FY 2002. Of the 46 states to receive settlements, 12 issued bonds backed by future master settlement agreement payments.
