Geographic Evolution of the U.S. Auto Industry
This article takes a long-term view regarding the
changing geography of the U.S. auto industry over the
past 25 years. In addition, the authors compare
changes in the location patterns of assembly and
supplier plants over each decade separately and across
the entire span of the two decades combined.
