Index of Silicon Valley 2004

The 2004 Index tells the story of continuing economic restructuring as the Valley’s future begins to take shape. Although the Valley continued to lose jobs in its traditional hardware and software sectors, the rate of regional job loss slowed. In several industries, the Valley lost a smaller percentage of jobs than the nation, especially in the biomedical area.
