South Florida Technology Alliance Celebrates 10 Years of Success; 2007 Board of Directors Announced
DATELINE: FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.
The South Florida Technology Alliance (SFTA), the cornerstone business-to-business membership organization of over 100 tri-county technology companies, celebrates its ten-year anniversary on December 7.
SFTA connects IT leaders to grow Information Technology (IT) businesses and create critical mass in the IT community by attracting and retaining qualified workforce, new business opportunities, and capital resources. SFTA was created as a regional business membership organization from the merger of the Miami Internet Alliance and the Technology Forum of South Florida.
SFTA celebrates 10 years of achievements this month. The organization continues to grow substantially in membership and influence by connecting technology CEOs bi-monthly, delivering monthly networking programs with top business and analyst speakers, and partnering with state legislative groups to advocate the interest of the IT business community.
In addition to membership services, SFTA has supported and partnered over the years with several non-profit, business and civic organizations to donate resources, computer equipment, and monies to support and develop a sustainable business environment.
Immediate 2007 future goals include the launch of an on-line resource for growth capital for Florida tech-focused businesses, growing the organization, and continuing to build a focused board. 2007 SFTA Board of Directors were selected unanimously and include 2006 SFTA officers: Chairman - Joel Ledlow/Acarra; President - Brian Nelson, Esq/Campus Management; Vice President - Deborah Vazquez/PROTECH; Treasurer - Bill McGloin/KPMG LLP; Secretary - Chip Casanave/Data Access Worldwide; and Directors for the upcoming year: Larry Light; Eric Lozano/Bank United; Greg Heller/BFC Financial; Tim Gilbert/Campus Management; Christopher Fleck/Citrix; Paul Cannon/Fisher Technology; CJ Wilson/Global Alliance Ltd; Zee Aganovic/Hiconversion, Inc.; Lenny Chesal/Host.net; Chris Burgio/Seitlin Insurance & Advisory Services; Jose Sinai/Investran SunGard.
