Arizona manufacturing network reaches out with Web site

The Arizona Manufacturing Extension Partnership has launched a new Web site designed to be more user friendly.

The Arizona MEP is an affiliate of the National Institute of Standards and Technology under the U.S. Department of Commerce. The network of manufacturing extension centers provides business and technical assistance to small manufacturers.

The new site offers information on assistance provided by the MEP, a performance-based training system, as well a list of upcoming events and links to the organization's partners and resources. The site also displays the latest news from the Arizona MEP and has a place for manufacturers to sign up for workshops and lectures.

"Our new Web site is a one-stop information base for our current and potential clients and partners to use as a resource," said John Little, director of operations of the Arizona MEP. "This site is easy to use and provides a clear representation of what we do, what services and solutions we offer and success stories from companies that have benefited from our programs."

"Another unique feature on the site is up-to-date information on the positive financial impact the Arizona MEP has had on its clients. Clients are surveyed by an independent third party survey company to determine the economic impact resulting from their relationship with the MEP program. The data will be updated on a quarterly basis," added Little. The Arizona MEP is an affiliate of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) under the U.S. Department of Commerce. The national MEP is a network of manufacturing extension centers that provide business and technical assistance to smaller manufacturers in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
