GOV. SANFORD TO SIGN VIRTUAL SCHOOLS BILL

Gov. Mark Sanford, R-S.C., issued the following media advisory:
Gov. Mark Sanford will be joined via internet simulcast tomorrow by students from the S.C. Governor's School for Science and Mathematics for a demonstration of technology that can soon be utilized by students across South Carolina to expand learning opportunities.
Tomorrow morning, the students will join the governor as he ceremonially signs the S.C. Virtual Schools Bill, a new law that will let students earn credits by taking classes via the internet. The bill signing will be held in the Auditorium of the S.C. Statehouse in downtown Columbia at 9:30 a.m.
