LifeSync puts R&D in Atlanta
LifeSync Corp. will open its main research and development center in Atlanta, where it will create next-generation wireless medical vital signs technology.
Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based LifeSync is opening the facility at Technology Square in the Georgia Electronic Design Center (GEDC). The relationship is supported through the Georgia Research Alliance (GRA).
The Atlanta center will make new wireless communication systems that acquire physiological parametric data, and LifeSync will tap into knowledge offered by GEDC, GRA and Georgia Tech.
"We are delighted to be a part of recruiting LifeSync to Georgia and anticipate that they will be a strong contributor to the state's medical device industry," said Susan G. Shows, Georgia Research Alliance vice president. "Their interest in R&D collaboration with Georgia's research universities holds the promise of creating important new products that can help the company grow rapidly."
