HIGHLIGHT: Israel is becoming a magnet for R&D. The Israel Venture Capital Research Center last week estimated the number of foreign R&D centers in the country at 110, employing 35,000 workers. Along with investors like Intel, Cisco Systems and Motorola, the list of tech companies with R&D operations in Israel includes Applied Materials, Texas Instruments and SanDisk.
