A new, 46,000-square-foot multi-tenant office and laboratory building is planned at the Oklahoma Technology and Research Park in Stillwater. The building will provide office and laboratory space for industry research partners of Oklahoma State University. Venture II will be developed by Idea Partnerships, the Oklahoma Technology and Research Park's development partner. The new building will be across from Venture I, a 36,000-square-foot multi-tenant building developed by IdeaPartnerships. The two-story building will include a central lobby, providing space for events. "Collaborative relationships of OSU with private technology companies can benefit all of Oklahoma's citizens because it is from these kinds of partnerships that new products and new companies are formed," said Stephen McKeever, OSU vice president for research and technology transfer. "Venture II will provide even more facilities in which those collaborations can occur and will help seed Oklahoma with new jobs and industry." The Oklahoma Technology andResearch Park is a joint venture of the city of Stillwater, MeridianTechnology Center and Oklahoma State University. The 160-acre site is west of downtown Stillwater and the OSU campus. A 24,000-square-foot business accelerator building, funded by the state, also has been approved for the park. The park's joint board named the building the Michael S. Morgan Business Accelerator Building for Sen. Mike Morgan, D-Stillwater.
