The Illinois Treasurer will launch the Illinois Growth and Innovation Fund, which would invest $220 million over the next three years in 15-20 funds across the state. Corporate venture capital (VC) groups made over $2.3 billion in investments via 240 deals to the startup ecosystem during the third quarter of 2015. Corporate VC accounted for 14.1 percent of all venture capital dollars invested and 21.5 percent of all deals, according to the MoneyTree Report from PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) and the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA).
